Circles After Dark

Nothing to hide here. This is obviously a composite photo. The labyrinth was drawn at sunset specifically for this photograph. About one hour after sunset when we couldn’t see anything from the cliff it was time to make educated guesses and set multiple cameras to capture the lights, two volunteers walking with lanterns on their heads and a very dim light to light the path without adding too much light as it would’ve been distracting.

This was one of my best camera settings for this unforgettable evening and the Milky Way was a way to compliment the magic we felt when the 15 minute exposure revealed the image from the camera.
